Account information
Name, school email address, account role, class memberships and avatar choice are stored so that the platform can identify the correct user and provide the appropriate student or teacher tools.

Your information on Pao Revision
This page explains what the platform stores, why it is needed and who may see it.In brief
Pao Revision stores information needed to provide accounts, save learning progress and run teacher-assigned activities. It does not sell student data or use it for advertising. Students should use their school account and avoid putting names or other identifying information inside work intended for anonymous peer review.
Learning information
This may include confidence ratings, statement notes, flashcard sets, practice attempts, mind maps, error logs, test reflections, exit checks and class-challenge progress.
Assignments and uploads
Responses, uploaded documents or images, peer feedback, self-assessment, teacher feedback and AI feedback may be stored as part of the class record. Assigned reviewers see only the work and information needed to complete their review.
AI tools
When an AI feature is used, the relevant prompt, course context and submitted material are sent to the configured AI provider to produce the requested response. Do not submit unnecessary personal or sensitive information. AI feedback may be inaccurate and should be checked against the evidence.
Who can see information?
Students can see their own private learning information. Their teachers can see class progress and assigned work. Assigned classmates may see anonymised work allocated for review. The platform administrator can access information needed to operate, secure and support the service.
Service providers
Supabase provides accounts, database and file storage; Vercel hosts the website and provides aggregate web analytics; Resend delivers account emails; and the configured AI provider processes requests made through AI features. Processing may occur outside the user’s country.
Retention and deletion
- Saved revision chats expire after three weeks of inactivity unless reopened during that period.
- Private notes, personal mind maps, error-log entries and personal reviews can be deliberately deleted by the student.
- Completed test reflections and assigned learning evidence may be retained as part of the student’s educational record.
- Assignment records and uploads remain available until the relevant task or record is deleted by an authorised teacher or administrator.

Service usage analytics
When the platform is used, it records limited events such as opening a tool, practising flashcards or submitting an exit check. Signed-in usage may be linked to the student’s account so that engagement and technical problems can be understood. Guest events use a temporary page identifier and are not followed across later visits.
Usage analytics never include revision answers, chat-message content, uploaded work or passwords. Vercel also provides aggregate, cookie-free page statistics.
